I would tell Madison, that despite the fact that her IQ scores and college admissions test scores were low, they are a very inaccurate measure of one person’s intelligence. To give an example, I failed Algebra II miserably in high school, yet was in all Gifted and Talented classes. Failing Algebra greatly discouraged me and made me feel much less confident than I was. However, I managed to bounce back, pass Algebra II my senior year of high school. Not only did I manage to pass Algebra, but I graduated from high school in three years, and will be graduating from college in May of 2005, after only spending three years in college, quite a unique feat for someone who was told they wouldn’t be able to pass math. Life’s not all about tests, it’s about hard work, and believing in yourself!
